6 home remedies for gallstones

6 home remedies for gallstones

Illnesses

Some natural remedies, such as dandelion tea, turmeric tea and artichoke tincture, have anti-inflammatory properties, helping to eliminate gallstones, especially when the stone is still small.

However, in the presence of symptoms that indicate blockage of the bile ducts by larger stones, such as vomiting, yellowing of the skin or eyes and pain in the upper right side of the belly, urgent care should be sought at the nearest emergency room. Know other signs of bile duct blockage.

It is important to remember that home remedies should only be used to complement the treatment of small gallstones and only under the recommendation and supervision of a general practitioner or gastroenterologist.

Care with home remedies

Home remedies for gallstones can be consumed to help eliminate small stones from this organ.

In the case of larger stones, stimulating the gallbladder can block the bile ducts, causing symptoms such as diarrhea, yellowing of the skin and eyes, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. In the presence of these symptoms, it is recommended to seek emergency medical care.

Therefore, before using these natural options, it is recommended to consult a doctor, who will evaluate the signs and symptoms presented by the person and indicate the most appropriate treatment, which may or may not include home remedies.
