1. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (Drama)
This is certainly considered one of the best films on Netflix, suitable even for those who are “not fans of drama”, as it brings a story full of sensitivity and emotion.
The plot tells the story of a German family in the middle of the Second World War. The father (David Tewlis), a Nazi officer, is promoted to an important position in one of the concentration camps and the whole family moves to a closer house.
Bruno (Asa Butterfield), an 8-year-old boy, doesn’t know what his father’s real job is and feels very alone.
As he has no friends or neighbors nearby, the boy begins to explore the surroundings of the house until he reaches the concentration camp.
Without understanding everything that happens there, he meets Shimu (Jack Scanlon), a boy the same age who lives in the isolated area.
They begin a friendship through the electric fence.
The friendship grows and Bruno takes more and more risks to find his friend.
He just doesn’t know the dangers this friendship can bring.

2. Lion: A Journey Home (Drama)
Another title that ranks among the best films on Netflix.
This is because every film based on real events leaves us more moved than usual, perhaps because we think that all of that has somehow already happened to someone.
And with Lion it’s no different.
The story tells the story of an Indian boy, Saroo (Dev Patel), who at the age of five gets lost from his brother at the Calcutta train station.
The boy ends up in another city where no one understands him and doesn’t know what’s happening.
His brother then starts looking for him, without success.
After some time and many obstacles, Saroo is adopted by an Australian family.
Even though he tried to live a stable life, he never let go of the desire to look for his biological family.
The search to understand everything that happened then begins, but everything is a big struggle, since he was lost at a very young age and has no reference to where he came from.

3. A setback (Suspense)
Moving away from the drama, this thriller is now considered one of the best films on Netflix.
Adrian Doria (Mario Casas) is a successful businessman and sees his career take off at its best.
Businesses yielding fortunes, awards and a lot of fame.
His wife and little daughter also make up the scene of the successful and perfect family.
Until one day Adrian wakes up on the floor of a hotel room and finds his lover dead in the bathroom.
Not knowing exactly what happened that night and swearing innocence that still needed to be proven in some way, he hires the best defense lawyer he knew in Spain, Virginia Goodman (Ana Wagener).
Adrian is desperate and needs to find a way to prove he is innocent, even if all the evidence points to the opposite.
They then begin the search to uncover what happened in that room.

4. The Bar (Suspense)
People with completely different lives go about their mornings drinking coffee in a bar in the center of Madrid.
Everything seems to happen normally until one of the customers is shot in the head as he leaves the bar.
Impressed and not knowing what is happening, everyone runs to the door, but as they don’t know where the shot came from, they are afraid to leave.
They begin to notice that the area is isolated with no one else on the street.
Faced with the boy lying on the floor, shot, another customer comes out to help him, but is also shot in the head.
With no idea what’s happening outside, five people begin to deal with extreme situations.
Fear and despair lead to the most surprising attitudes and the fight for survival is up to everyone.

5. Getting into an even bigger cold (Comedy)
An already established comedy, it could not be left out of the list of the six best films on Netflix!
This is a classic that surpasses the first “Entrando minha fraia”.
After going through many difficulties with his future father-in-law Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro), Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) seems to be at peace in this relationship.
Worried now about his marriage to Pam (Teri Polo), it seems that everything is going better than expected. Or not.
Before the wedding, Greg will have to take his in-laws to lunch with his parents and this may not be a good idea, as Jack is a strict military man while Greg’s parents are much more “cool”.
The differences in customs create hilarious situations and it is worth seeing these very different families meet.

6. Naked (Comedy)
Weddings make anyone nervous, but Rob Anderson (Marlon Wayans), who is carefree about life, will have to take on this responsibility.
Despite not being accepted by his father-in-law, he loves his bride very much and is willing to offer the best for her.
However, things start to go wrong when he decides to drink the night before his wedding, but wakes up naked in a hotel elevator.
Without remembering anything and late for the wedding, Rob begins an adventure to marry his beloved and understand what happened that night.
