I loved this one pizza dough!!! Finally I found one pizza dough recipe to call mine! Super easy to do people and it’s very light!!!
On American websites they don’t add salt, just flour and Greek yogurt. I added salt and thought it was delicious!!!
This recipe yields a small disc of dough. Here at home, it’s the exact size for two people (we eat little, or at least we try to), but to make a large pizza, the size of a pizzeria’s, I suggest doubling the recipe below.
Ingredients:
- 1 pot of 100g Greek yogurt;
- Flour with self-raising until smooth (approximately 1 cup);
- 1 level spoon (coffee) of salt.
Mix the above ingredients until it forms a ball. Knead for 5 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place (inside the microwave) for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven at 200º for 15 minutes. Roll out the dough onto a pizza pan (no need to grease). This dough is very malleable, you don’t need to use a rolling pin, you can roll it out using just your hands, pressing it onto the baking sheet. I rolled out the dough as thin as I could.
Make holes in the surface of the dough with a fork and place in the oven for 5 minutes to lightly bake.
Remove the dough from the oven (keep the oven on), spread a layer of sauce and the topping of your choice. Return to the oven to finish baking, just enough time for the cheese to melt and the dough to become golden underneath.
It’s sooooo good people! Try it!!!
As I know you will ask if you can use regular flour and yeast separately, I believe so, but I couldn’t tell you the proportion, as I followed the original recipe that uses flour and yeast.
