It’s easy to decide where to stay in San Cristóbal de las Casas. It’s just that in Mexico everything happens around the Zócalothe main square of any city in the country.
Therefore, the closer you stay to the Zócalo, the better. This means you are restricted to a low number of options, all of which are located within four blocks of the Zócalo, no matter which direction you walk.

- Guayaba Inn Boutique Hotel – Four stars, lots of comfort and 130 dollars a night.
- Hotel Ciudad Real – One of the best locations in the city and daily rates at 70 dollars.
- Hotel Real del Valle – Another fantastic location and incredible value for money: around 30 dollars.

Cheap hotels in San Cristobal de las Casas
As the backpacker haven that it is, there are very good hostels and cheap hotels in San Cris.
- Hostalito 14 – Modern, good location and 12 dollars a night.
- La Isla – A little house with a good atmosphere and private and shared rooms. Daily rates at 28 dollars.
- 13 Cielos – Daily rates for 35 dollars, a very well located hostel

- Las Escaleras by Inmense – A highly rated hotel with beautiful views of the city. It costs 45 dollars per night and is great for couples, especially the honeymoon suite.

- Plaza Gallery Hotel & Boutique – One of the best hotels in San Cristóbal de las Casas. It has a Spa and daily rates for 150 dollars.
