With Pitty’s latest tweets, which seemed more indirect, fans were once again wondering what the beef was between Pitty and Anitta.
The new controversy on the internet is the situation caused by a series of tweets from singer Pitty last week, which gave people something to talk about. In them, the artist sought to reflect on the influence of the 80s on current music, and ended up in a mess.
However, the situation was not at all favorable for the rocker. It is believed that the discussion began after Pitty suggested that he had used Anitta’s new single, “Boys Do n’t Cry”, as an example. Therefore, many began to ask themselves: what is the problem between Pitty and Anitta?
This isn’t even the first time that Pitty has found himself in the middle of a situation like this. It all started in 2014, during the two’s participation in Globo’s “Altas Horas”.
On the occasion, they participated in a debate about female sexual freedom, and the singers disagreed on several points. At the time, the video was widely circulated on social media, and to this day many still remember the controversy.
During the edition, to understand more about the beef between Pitty and Anitta, star Anitta commented on how “women have to give themselves respect”. However, Pitty didn’t like this at all, and countered, saying that what a “respectful man” and a “respectful woman” are is understood differently in today’s society.
And Anitta replied: “Sometimes, I see feminine behavior that gives room for men to find things X or Y about women. So, from what I usually see when I’m out at night, I think: ‘But, guys, how can a man not treat a woman like that, if several of them are behaving like that?’”.

The rocker was quick to respond: “He’s wrong, he’s wrong. He doesn’t have to find or not find anything, you’re the one who has to do what you want.” In this sense, it didn’t take long for the discussion to end up taking on the form of a fight on the web. This fueled the alleged feud between the singers. However, until then, it is not even known whether or not such a feud exists.
Another example arose in 2019, when Anitta briefly commented on Pitty while participating in “Programa da Maísa”, on SBT. At the time, she was asked who she would or would not invite to her birthday party. The funk singer replied that she would not invite Pitty. “No, I wouldn’t invite her. I don’t know her and she’s not my friend,” she said. Since then, the two have not spoken about the matter again.
Currently, Pitty, aged 44, is one of the presenters of “Saia Justa”, on GNT, and does not usually use social media much. Even so, her older tweets, for example, resonated with many fans, due to her strong positioning. Nowadays, she uses her platforms to interact with fans and promote her releases. But debates and controversies are no longer on the agenda.
