We were recently at a lunch at the Hotel Fasano, in São Paulo, where representatives from the chain Virtuoso announced Brazilians’ favorite luxury destinations and talked about market trends luxury tourismyour specialty.

Created in 1951 and known for offering exclusive experiences, the chain Virtuoso brings together both agents specialized in luxury travel, such as the best hotels, cruises and operators in North and South America, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. There are more than 340 travel agents, 8,900 travel advisors in 20 countries and more than 1,025 hotels, resorts, spas, villas and private islands in 100 countries, carefully chosen to be part of its portfolio.

A survey of network members Virtuoso revealed that the USA is first on Brazilians’ preference list and that Southwest Asia is increasingly growing as a destination option.

The reasons why Brazilians travel are: to explore new destinations, look for authentic experiences, as well as to rest and relax. After all, who doesn’t need to break out of their routine every now and then? For 2015, the trends are celebratory trips, family trips, luxury cruises, villa rentals and honeymoons.
