Our trip to Mendoza – wine tourism tips for the best gastronomy and hotels in the region
This summer in Mendoza in this summer with my wife Letícia and a house of friends and our trip was absolutely unforgettable! We know some wineries, we have some unusual gastronomic experiences and we stay in two interesting places – read all the links below:
Day 1 – Tour of the Monteviejo, O.Fournier wineries, accommodation and transportation options between the wineries and wineries in Siete Fuegos.
Day 2 – Walk through the wine cellars Bodega The Vines and El Enemigo, a place to stay in the center of Mendoza and eat the best Orégano.
Day 3 – On the last day of the trip, we discover the Séptima and Ruca Malén wineries, along with the non-awarded Azafrán wine.
Visit wineries
If you plan to visit Mendoza to taste and eat at wineries, or wineries, it is important to ALWAYS schedule a visit time and also reserve the food or lunch. The search is always very large and many wineries are super long in Mendoza, not worth running over the cliff to catch the eye and face the door. All wineries charge per tasting and many offer different types and also different qualities of wines for tasting. As is, in order to just try good wines, there is no “necessity” to buy the products from the winery.
Care with baggage
If you, like people, know the famous wineries of Mendoza, you will certainly want to invest in some carafes of the wines produced by them, so here are some precious details so that you can be ready for this unsurprised transport:
– The baggage limit per person is 23kg per person and you pay 70 pesos per excess kilo, therefore, the weight limit is bad. It says: a box with 12 bottles weighs an average of 15kg.
– Wine stores and wineries normally pack the wines, leaving everything ready for the tourist to place a foam box, which would be the most recommended way to transport the drinks to Brazil.
– Another indication is to protect your bad with those plastic packaging at the airport – packing at a bad cost 150 pesos at the airport.

Aconcágua Provincial Park
In the Cordilheira dos Andes, at 6,962 meters of altitude, a “stone sentinel” – like the conhecido or Mount Aconcágua – is an imposing place that seems to take over the entire province… A mandatory walk to enjoy the beautiful and imposing landscapes and also Do trekking or climbing – the most amazing experience to climb this mountain, which is one of the most perilous in the world!
If you are short on this, pay attention to an important detail: the park remains dated for most of the year, precisely due to the high periculosity of the trails. Generally, it is open between the November and February months, but the exact date varies every year due to two more or less severe winters. Otherwise follow the same restrictions. Therefore, out of season, it is only possible to see Aconcágua from the road. And still it’s great!

Dinheiro
What to take in money to Argentina – dollars, pesos or reais? The last few trips to the world, the dollar is always worth more than a penalty. More important notes are always important too. It is not outlined: in Mendoza (and in all of Argentina, in truth) it is polite to leave 10% of gorjeta (chamada lá de tip) for garçons, taxi drivers, bad drivers… Always have a quantity of pesos in exchanged money only when you leave the airport to leave the taxi driver.
And since January 2017, we can count on the issuance of VAT (value added tax, or equivalent to our ICMS) on hotel days in Argentina paid by foreign visitors (with credit card, debit card or by agency). travel). The tax that affects hotel days is 21% and, paying with credit card, debit or international pre-payment, however, foreign guests receive or discount automatically, in the machine. As a discount, the hotel will be 17% cheaper in cash.
Our advice: if everything is no longer operating directly, it is not worth paying for a hotel in living money. Our 2 hotels are located in Mendoza and um in Buenos Aires, we owe everything certain and we have or discount VAT. The economy of 21% more than compensates the IOF of 6.38% for two Brazilian credit cards, debits and pre-payments (and also any possible exchange rate variation).
The discount is only valid for daily and hot coffee; Seasonal apartments are out of stock. Extra expenses in hotels — such as food, food, massages or refrigerator consumption — continue to pay VAT of 21% and must be invoiced separately.
Transport
On our trip to Mendoza, we hire transportation Mendoza transfers. We adore the attention of them, which são pontuais and very many providers – we indicate very much the service. The company has a group of eleven cars and four vans with an adega (an exclusive facility of the company). The service is always with a private car that is available at all times only for the clients and our motorist, or Luciano, was super cool! The company’s price, contrary to what it may seem, was also a big differential – and it could be paid in reais, pesos or dollars. For your idea, to visit the Uco Valley, the service costs US$180 and to visit the Maipu region, US$120, value for 2 people.
