Almost all of Paraty’s beaches are far from the Historic Center, so arrival is recommended via rustic boat trips through the Atlantic forest, trails from other beaches or by car.
Each one has different access, so plan in advance, choose your means of transportation and plan your route. Some have tents and others just natural beauty, far from everything.
Long Island
This remote island is a true natural aquarium full of marine life with colorful fish of all sizes. Access is only possible by boat and there is no beach.
Lula Beach
By boat you can reach this deserted beach, with soft, white sand, rocks on the hillside and greenish water with calm coves, great for relaxing baths.
Red Beach
Better structured, this beach, in addition to having tents, bars and restaurants nearby, also has clear water for swimming.
Praia Grande de Cajaíba
Accessible by boat, this beach reveals an untouched landscape of native forest, refreshing water and soft sand. Through the forest, it is possible to take a small trail to a hidden waterfall. Some bars are available around.
Mamanguá Bag
One of the most beautiful beaches in Paraty, it stands out for its rich mangrove vegetation, the waterfall and the rock formations found there. Access is possible from a small boat that departs from Paraty Mirim and travels eight kilometers on a rich tour.
Pouso da Cajaíba Beach
There is little movement as it is in a fishing village. For this reason, it is also not recommended for baths.
Martim de Sá Beach
The desert aspect and the scenery framed by mountains make the beach the ideal place for camping. It has clear sand and rough seas.
Ponta Negra Beach
Surrounded by trees and white sand, the beach is close to a fishing village. It is frequently visited by adventurers who camp.
Antigos and Antiguinhos Beach
Accessible by boat or trails, the place remains deserted most of the time. The wild scenery and rocks make the environment conducive to snorkeling. Strong waves often attract surfers
Araújo Island
One of the most urban in the region, its green waters receive many visitors, especially on holidays.
Meros Island
Due to the good depth of the sea and excellent visibility on sunny days, the place is perfect for scuba diving. If you’re lucky you might find interesting colorful species.
Barra do Corumbé
The natural pools are the main attraction of this beach, which can be accessed by car. The surrounding area with restaurants is also a plus.
Batangueira Beach
Full of reef formations, this stunning beach allows for enriching dives in the crystal clear water.
Parati-Mirim Beach:
This rustic beach stands out for being home to the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. It has calm coves perfect for swimming and shade from coconut trees.

Prainha da Praia Grande
To get to this beach, it’s worth a basic walk that leads to the greenish waters.
São Gonçalinho Beach
With a narrow strip of sand and permeated by rocks and forest, it has a fishing village and stalls that serve tasty delicacies and cold drinks.
Sleep Beach
Located in Trindade, it can be reached via an average one-hour trail starting from Praia da Laranjeiras. Boat trips also take you to Sono beach, which stands out for its white sand, rocks, clear blue water and camping area. It has a fishing village and is quite extensive. Without a doubt, it is one of the most beautiful in the region.
Cepilho Beach
Located in Trindade, this beach is considered the first in the village. The choppy waves invite surfers to the beautiful coastal landscape.
Praia de Fora
Located in Trindade, it is the busiest, full of tents that attract tourists and camping areas.
Meio Beach
Located in Trindade, it is extensive, deserted with few tents and deep waters with strong waves.
Cachadaço Beach
Located in Trindade, the crystal clear waters are surrounded by huge rocks that allow you to see fish and it is usually busy on weekends and holidays.
