South America

A trendy Leblon street has gained another important novelty! It’s Tin Tin, the bar owned by award-winning chef Rafa Gomes, voted Chef of the Year by Veja Rio Comer&Beber 2023. A bar with a Rio soul, with a relaxed atmosphere, tables on the sidewalk, good food and, of course, that cold beer. In other words, ideal for post-beach, happy hour with friends, lunch with family or even as a couple! At Tin Tin, Rafa brings simple but tasty dishes, from traditional bar snacks, to reinterpretations and sandwiches. This is the chef’s third place in the city, who already runs Itacoa and Tiara. In fact, a bar that looks like Rio! We went to find out and tell you everything below.

TinTin’s internal environment is small but cozy, with themed paintings on the wall and a TV for those who want to watch football. After all, we are talking about an authentic Rio bar! But, certainly, the highlight are the tables on the sidewalk, which are spread out throughout the night. From the kitchen come recipes created by chef Rafa Gomes made with quality inputs. Therefore, the highlights are the classic bar snacks to share, such as, for example, the crispy rice cake with salmon tartar (R$42), the Potato Tin Tin, with pulled porkcheese and chives (R$38) and the delicious and crispy suckling pig croquettes with bbq (1 und – R$12).

In addition, there are also sandwiches, such as Parmigiana on Bread (R$38) and pans for two people, such as Octopus Caldoso Rice with pepperoni and roasted tomatoes (R$188). Among the main dishes, we bet on Picadinho Carioca (R$66) with rice, banana, egg, potato and farofa. It was delicious! Other suggestions, for example, are Tonkatsu (R$52), breaded pork with broccoli rice and spicy peanut sauce, and Rib Rice (R$58).

Among the desserts, highlights include the Bolo Mole da Bel Trufas (R$42) with vanilla ice cream, and the Banana Split (R$30) with paçoca and caramel. And the good news is that during the week, from 12pm to 4pm, there is an executive menu with starter + main course for R$42!

Tin Tin!

In addition to the cold and creamy draft beer, those who prefer drinks have good options created by mixologist Lelo Forti. There are classics like Aperol Spritz (R$30) and Caipirinhas (R$27) and originals, like Posto 12 (R$35) with Arpo Gin, mint, ginger, lemon juice and coconut water. The most important thing is the toast!
