However, Tiago shocked many by revealing the truth about his relationship with his grandfather. According to him, he never maintained the slightest proximity to Silvio Santos and his maternal aunts. Thus, in conversation with Rodrigo, he made a long rant about the lack of reception and acceptance from family members.
“The relationship with my grandfather’s family practically doesn’t exist, contrary to what people think. I learned to deal with this in a lighter way today. But I’ve already been hurt a lot,” he began. “It hurt me so much to know that I was celebrating Christmas with my mother, my sisters and my nephews, and the rest of the family was together. This hurts me. It hurt, I would say, for 33 years. Today, I’m 34.”
Then, he also confessed about how he tried more than once to strengthen ties with his family. Even so, even her mother, Cintia Abravanel, who would be Silvio Santos’ “number one daughter”, is estranged from her sisters. “No matter how much people idealize it, for me, the magazine cover and the margarine family are not real. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. It hurts that I found out that a cousin of mine was born through Instagram or a magazine, and not through a phone call. And it wasn’t for lack of trying on my part. I always made myself available.”

And I don’t judge him for that. On the contrary. It could be the circumstances of life, the amount of work, but, most importantly, the lack of relationships. Connection never existed. I could not understand. I suffered too much.” For Tiago, the circumstances of his life made his relationships distant, but this did not prevent him from suffering due to the lack of support from his family.
He also spoke about his mother: “Maybe what still hurts me is knowing that my mother suffers. She is the link. She had her father, her sisters… And today they are no longer so close.” Abravanel also revealed that only after becoming an artist did he get a little closer to his grandfather. “I got much closer to my grandfather when I became an artist than I was before I was in the media.
