The event took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs near Invalides, in Paris, and I was the only Brazilian journalist to attend the award ceremony. A glamorous night, for guests only, in a true art deco palace. I had the chance to meet true idols, that is, some of the most renowned chefs in the world, who I have followed and appreciated for years – chefs and restaurants.

Of the restaurants I know and love, the following were also awarded:

  • In Paris: Epicure, at the Le Bristol hotel, chef Mathieu Pacoud at L’Ambrosie, on Place des Vosges, Le Cinq, at the Four Seasons George V and Thierry Marx at Mandarin Oriental Paris. In addition, the patissier chef at Burgundy, the hotel where I am staying, Jean Pierre Quinonero, was also honored.
