The BEST Instant Pot Roast Recipe! Dump and Go!

You Tube

We have a NEW INSTANT POT COOKBOOK! PREORDER HERE:

I’m a HUGE fan of the dump and go Instant Pot recipes! This Dump and Go Pot Roast is one of my FAVORITES! It only takes a few ingredients and everyone will love it!

Your carrots will be VERY well done. The thicker your carrots, the better they will taste. My family likes them well done, but cut your carrots how you like them!

I used a 2 pound roast, but you could use a 3 or 4 pound roast. Same recipe, just add 10 minutes to your cooking time.

Check out my 9 Instant Pot DON’TS if you are a beginner to Instant Pot cooking!

See our other Instant Pot Recipes:

Just remember when using the Instant Pot, it takes 10-20 minutes to pressurize!

Be sure to give me a thumbs up and comment if you would like more Instant pot recipes or tips and tricks with the Instant Pot!

This is the Instant Pot I have (yes it is the cheaper one and I love it!):

If you are cooking for 1-2 people I would suggest the 3 Quart. If you are cooking for more, I would suggest the 6 quart!

  1. So my instant pot has a meat and stew, separate buttons. I’m trying this recipe out now, wasn’t sure whether to select the meat button or stew button. I selected stew, hopefully it’ll be cooked right.

  2. About a year and a half ago, I saw this video and immediately liked it because I love pot roast. That weekend I made it, it tastes wonderful btw, but I also bought a bunch of Lipton onion soup mix because of this recipe.
About six months later I was going through my pantry and saw all the soup mix I bought and couldn’t remember why I got so much! I asked my kids, my siblings and even posted on fb to see I anyone knew why I got so much soup mix.
Well, I just watched this video and remembered!!
This is a great recipe and I will be making it again, right after my chuck roast thaws out!

  3. I just love your recipe here and I have had it saved for a while! For me I cut the broth down to just 1 cup. We don't like watery roast. But, the first time I followed your recipe I added veggies and had the rest as beef vegetable soup! I just love your channel!

  4. How much longer if roast is frozen? I know it is in one of your more recent videos, but I’m in a hurry and am hoping you’re seeing this now. 😊 Love, love, love your videos!

  5. Tried this Dump and Go recipe tonight and it turned out so good, without the mess and time of having to brown the meat first. The roast turned out just like the ones I've browned first and was very tender and flavorful.

  6. i just made this tonight. i didn't have any soup mix, looked around for something, found a McCormick's meatloaf seasoning packet. lol. so i said why not. it turned out good.

  7. Too bad none of the viewer questions ever get a response. But to be honest, a lot of you guys are asking such basic questions like….how do I release the pressure, how do I thicken up the broth. Cmon man….google.

  8. You put half then add the other half of Lipton soup just then pour beef broth and it washes it all the the bottom and it is still whole packet of Lipton soup what a silly way to put it.

  9. Girl you gave me motivation to cook a roast hopefully i won't blow up the house. I'm just scared to trlease the venting out afterwards. Wish me luck!

  10. Update. OMG! It came out perfect however i made a mess. It did exactly what i was affraid off. After i released the sealer so the steam could release it was loud, and then it started steaming out the sauce that was inside the pot. Wtf moment. Yelled for my husband it made a mess on my kitchen cabinet , but the kid's loved the food thats what counts. Thank you for your video.

  11. This is the best recipe I have ever had. But I make it in my crock pot and it's so good thanks for sharing my family really loves this also we appreciate the recipe

  12. I usually don't add the Veggies until the meat is cooked because, when I remove the meat there's way more room for Potatoes and I'll have a lot of potatoes leftover that were boiled in the juice and they make awesome fried potatoes a day or two later , Carrots and Potatoes only need 3 minutes in a pressure cooker, I do let the pressure drop normally, I don't like the fast release, I hate having to do the clean up.

  13. Thank you for this video! Simplistic, straight to the point. I’ve watched some other videos for instant pot roast and while they were good, the methods used were a lil bit more complex than my tiny brain could handle 😂! I am going to try this method and see how it works! Tysm!
