Paris

Paris, the city of love. Is it cliché to include Paris on our list? Or is it a necessity? Because we think that the need for her presence on the list is indisputable. There is a reason why the city has its nickname, and that reason is alive and well. Paris is a very romantic city: the architecture, the restaurants, the crowded streets resonating the vintage vibe with accordions, all of this contributes to a magical and enchanting space to be with the one you love. Be sure to take a boat ride to the Temple of Love to wander around and stargaze for a truly magical moment.

Venice

Venice, the jewel of northern Italy, is one of the most romantic places in the world. Float along the serene canals, admiring the Renaissance architecture in a gondola, and wind your way through the confusing twists and turns to end up in St. Mark’s Square for a phenomenal sunset. Follow in the footsteps of history’s greatest lover, Giacomo Casanova, as you admire the majesty of the Doge’s Palace and the tragically beautiful Bridge of Sighs. You are sure to whisper “Ti amo” at the end of each night.

New York

Maybe the old world isn’t your style and you want some new world thrills, then New York is the destination for you. Ice skating at Rockefeller Center or Central Park followed by a long walk through the city that never sleeps. We recommend winter as the time for the ultimate romantic experience, as snow, coffee, and hot chocolate combine to create an atmosphere you thought only existed at the movies. Don’t forget to stop by the Serendipity coffee shop where one of the crucial scenes of the famous romantic comedy – also called – Serendipity was filmed.

Wood Island

Returning to Europe, perhaps a lesser-known place is the beautiful island of Madeira. Famous for its private wine and stunning beaches. The best way to enjoy an island as charming as Madeira is to rent a house and live like a local. Spend a week living like a Madeiran, enjoying big lunches with a couple of glasses of Madeira wine to wash it down, followed by a well-deserved “siesta” and then a leisurely evening stroll to the local village for a late dinner. Imovirtual has a variety of places available for rent and you are sure to find the perfect one for you.

Maui Island

To finish our list of most romantic destinations we go with another island, but this time in the Pacific, Maui. The island of Maui, home to the surf-crazy city of Honolulu, is the perfect blend of island living and cosmopolitan convenience. Spend the day hiking incredible trails and seeing no one but your partner, the deep green of your surroundings, and the sparkling Pacific. After spending so much time in nature, retreat to the city for a cocktail at a sophisticated bar and a gourmet seafood dinner, the perfect date.
