Termite Sanduba – Panelaterapia

Termite Sanduba

Meat

The best things in life are so simple! It’s cliché but clichés are always true!

The freshest French bread you can find, shredded pressure cooker termites and cheese. You don’t need anything else!

For 1 kg of termites (if it is more, for example 2 kg, just double the recipe):

Cut the termite piece into thick slices. Roughly slice two large onions. In a pressure cooker, cover the bottom with olive oil and onion slices. Add half the meat, cover with more onion slices, the rest of the meat and more onions. Sprinkle 1 packet of powdered meat broth, 300ml of boiling water, 6 tablespoons of shoyu (soy sauce) and cover the pan.

After it reaches pressure, keep it on medium heat (from medium to low) for 30 minutes. Turn off the heat, wait for the pressure to release and see if the meat is ready to shred. If it is not, put it back on the heat (under pressure) and check every 10 minutes (you may need to add a little more water to prevent it from sticking). For larger pieces of meat the time may increase, but then you will have to open the pan from time to time and test.

The onion practically disappears and the meat melts! Very easy to shred with a fork to make your saduba! If you want to serve the meat in pieces, send candy and it will be a hit too!
