What is it for
Tea and plum water are used for:
- Combat constipation in babies, children and adults, as it contains excellent amounts of sorbitol, soluble fibers, such as pectin and insoluble fibers, such as cellulose and hemicellulose, which hydrate the fecal cake, facilitating evacuation;
- Promote weight loss, because fiber and water help to prolong satiety and reduce hunger throughout the day, reducing food intake;
- Prevent cardiovascular diseases, as it contains fiber, vitamin C, flavonoids and vitamin K, nutrients that reduce inflammation, maintain the health of blood vessels and prevent calcification of the arteries.
Furthermore, tea and plum water also prevent premature aging. This is because dried plums contain flavonoids and polyphenols, bioactive compounds that fight free radicals, one of those responsible for damage to healthy skin cells.
