Taking more than 2 baths a day is harmful to your health

Beauty

Taking more than 2 baths a day with soap and a bath sponge can be harmful to your health because the skin has a natural balance between fat and bacteria, thus providing a protective layer to the body.

Excess hot water and soap remove this natural barrier of fat and bacteria that are beneficial and protect the skin from fungi, preventing mycoses, eczema and even allergies.

On hotter days, when there is greater sweat production, it is recommended that you bathe with liquid soap and cold water, in addition to drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day, as this allows you to refresh your body.

How to cool your body without having to take a shower

To cool off, try using a vaporizer with fresh water, wearing light clothing during the day and staying hydrated by drinking 2 liters of water, juice or tea per day. If the liquids are cold and have no sugar, they will be more effective.

Furthermore, it is recommended to take only 2 full baths per day, at least 8 hours apart so that the skin has the opportunity to be clean, without losing its protective barrier.

If it is very hot and the person sweats a lot, you can take more baths per day, but it is recommended not to use soap in every bath. Some can only use clean water at a cool temperature. If necessary, due to the bad smell, you can wash your armpits, feet and intimate areas with soap or soap with each bath.

Other important bath precautions

Loofahs and bath sponges are discouraged by dermatologists because they can promote the development of bacteria that are harmful to health. Just apply soap or shower gel to your body so that your skin is properly clean.

Towels should always be laid out to dry after each bath, to avoid encouraging the proliferation of fungi or other microorganisms, and should be changed and washed once a week.
