Sushi for Those Who Don’t Like Sushi

Snacks

That’s not my case, because I LOVE Japanese food! But I thought this recipe was cute, with a nice presentation. This sushi is made from sliced bread! I already showed this recipe here on the blog a long time ago, but this time I made it with tuna filling (can you get that tuna pâté with grated carrots and mayonnaise?).

The filling can be whatever you want. Remove the crust from a slice of bread and roll it over it with a rolling pin to make it thin. Add the filling, make a roll and wrap it like candy using aluminum foil. Keep the wrapped roll in the fridge for at least 2 hours so it takes shape. Open the rolls, slice, dip in mayonnaise (I used ricotta cream) and roll over sesame seeds (which can be white or black).

But hey, I’ll warn you: it’s not as easy to make as it seems, because the bread is soft and if you don’t have a very light hand it will fall apart! So be gentle, okay?
