  3. A whole lot of work for that little bit of okra. That must be your plate (smile). I don't cook my okra like that. I'm from the south and this is not how we do it (smile).

  4. Thst looks so good. I love okra. I'm raised northern, but family is southern and mom taught me southern cooking. I love fried okra as well. I wish i could get my children to like.

  6. And you know another thing with this dish we in the south fried chicken or pork chops BB ribs some kind of meat potatoes salad and all .. Usually a Sunday meal here in the south..

  7. My man AB!!!! I am a huge fan of everything you do. Thank you so much from over here in Europe. This dish, as well as all the other ones, just blows me away. I will make it tomorrow, however I got a question. Since it is impossible to find Kreole Kick over here, can I use the hot version of Slap Ya Mama seasoning instead or would that flavor ruin the dish?
    Also I'm fixing to buy a 5 burner ceramic PitBoss griddle so I can make more of your recipes. Would that be a good griddle to buy? We don't have Blackstone over here.

  8. Ooo, this is gonna go down this weekend!!! But will I be able to still use the okra I canned (preserved) from my garden last fall, or does it have to be fresh okra?

  9. Looks great, okra grows GOOD down here in the Deep South. I like it also smothered with just onion, & canned tomatoes as a side to fried pork chops.

  10. Shoeeeeee, at , Like 14:40 , l'd drop 2 bags of peeled, crawfish in that mug, and have the SECOND BEST DISH IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD !!!!!!!!!

    next to mom's CORNBREAD DRESSING with shrimp or crayfish😢😢

  11. This is pretty similar to southern style okra and tomatoes just with sausage and shrimp added. I pretty much only pair okra and tomatoes with seafood or pork, so this is kinda what leftovers are like for me the next day. I never thought to cook it all together from the start.

Your cooking reminds me of my late husband, he was from down south. We would get in the kitchen and set it on 🔥 . After losing him I lost desire in cooking, but since watching your videos it's sparked that 🔥 Since both of us loved okra I'm on my way to the market now.
