Slovenia Marques was confirmed as a participant in BBB 22, the native of Paraíba is part of the popcorn group. And, she was already Miss Pernambuco 2018.
This Friday (14) the official list of participants for Big Brother Brasil 22 (BBB 22) was released. Furthermore, one of the names released was that of Eslovênia Marques, a 25-year-old native of Paraíba, who will be part of the popcorn group. However, when it was released something that caught viewers’ attention was her unusual name. After all, it’s not often that we find people with names from countries outside of the La Casa de Papel series, right?
Furthermore, his parents claimed that his name was inspired by the political conflicts of the 1990s that led to the division of Yugoslavia. On the other hand, the youngest Sister is a Marketing student, and is a model, she was elected Miss Pernambuco 2018. And, Slovenia also studied Physics, and almost graduated, but changed her plans midway.
In short, Big Brother Brasil 22 premieres on Monday, January 17th on TV Globo, after the soap opera Um Lugar ao Sol. The program’s presenter will be Tadeu Schmidt. In addition, the attraction will feature humorous paintings by Dani Calabresa (Cat BBB) and Paulo Vieira (Bigterapia).
On the other hand, there will also be the BBB Network, where the recently eliminated are interviewed. Therefore, Ana Clara will present Fora da Casa, Rafa Kalimann will present Bate-Papo BBB and Rhudson Victor will present Parada BBB.
Who is Slovenia?
Slovenia Marques is the newest Sister of BBB 22, being a participant in the popcorn group. Furthermore, she was born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, but currently lives in Caruaru, Pernambuco. The participant is currently 25 years old, and her birthday is November 17th.
Therefore, the participant has a strong bond with her family, and claims to want to win to help her parents with the 1.5 million prize. And, her family is made up of her mother, Kilma Marques, her father, Antonio Lima, and a brother called Édipo Marques. Furthermore, she is also a mother to a pet, a beautiful puppy.
Finally, Sister is a marketing student, influencer, model, and has already studied Physics. Therefore, the model is 1.77 tall and has already won Miss Pernambuco 2018. But she is also passionate about Physics, and only left college because she had to change her plans when she became Miss.
Personal life
Participant Eslô, as she likes to be called, has a room that suits her. That is, on one side is your dressing table filled with makeup and special lights. On the other hand, there are paintings of Albert Einstein, her great idol in Physics, responsible for the Theory of Relativity, which she admires so much.
Furthermore, in her closet she keeps all her ribbons that she won as Miss. And, she often expresses and tells stories to others about how she loves the various worlds she lives in.
“It’s really crazy, because I love Science and, when I participated in Miss Brazil, people looked at me and said: ‘My God, you’re Miss and you like Einstein and Physics! Like this?’. And I said: ‘Guys, this is me!’. Each particularity forms who I am.” – Says Sister in her interview.
Furthermore, its curious name caught the attention of internet users, who soon began to wonder about its choice. As a result, her parents came out on social media and explained her choice.
In short, its name was inspired by the political conflicts of the 90s that led to the division of Yugoslavia. At first, her father wanted her name to be Bosnia-Herzegovina (another country in the region). But her mother didn’t approve. So, they both decided on Slovenia.
The participant’s mother, Kilma, points out that she and her daughter are very close. However, her father, Antônio, usually spends the week away because he needs to work. Furthermore, Eslô has a brother, called Édipo, who lives in Ireland to study English and work. Finally, in her call video for the program, Sister states:
“I really wish I could say this: I’m single, but I’m not alone. But I’m single and alone, literally, officially!” says the BBB 22 participant.
Career
Slovenia says she is a very intense, extroverted and curious woman. Therefore, early on she fell in love with the world of Science, especially Physics. Therefore, she enrolled in the Physics course at the Federal University of Pernambuco, studying for 4 years. However, she claims that in many classes she ended up being the only woman in her class.
On the other hand, while attending college, she was already involved in modeling and influencer work on social media. Soon, she became Miss Caruaru, Miss Pernambuco, and in 2018 she decided to quit the course to participate in Miss Brazil. Therefore, she won the title of best oratory in the competition.
“It was a start for me about changes. Not only as a woman, but as a profession, course, maturity, perspective on life. Because Miss Brazil brings that. If you know how to deal with it correctly, you learn more about yourself” – points out Sister.
In short, Slovenia is a Marketing student and works as a digital influencer. In this aspect, she talks on her social networks about fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Furthermore, she shows herself to be a true party fan in her videos posted on Tiktok.
Relations
In his call for the Big Brother Brasil 22 program, Slovenia explains what we can expect from his behavior:
“I talk a lot, I drink a lot, I shout a lot. All great! I think gossip is different from comments. I’m a good commentator.”
Furthermore, she promises to take all the teachings learned throughout her life into the most watched house in Brazil. That is, lessons in maturity and perspectives on life, which will keep her resilient within the house.
However, the participant also states that she will play and live the BBB game intensely. In other words, making mistakes, learning and evolving more and more into the best version of yourself.
On the other hand, the influencer loves cachaça and parties, always going out with her friends. So, she says she’s not afraid to embarrass herself at parties and show herself without filters.
“I like to represent something very real: I drink, I swear, I sit with my legs open… That’s about it, people like to be represented by people who are real.”
Controversies
Sister Slovenia has not been involved in major controversies, but has faced some “troubles” in her life. Firstly, Sister almost became a nun, but the Church removed her after discovering that she committed a sin.
Furthermore, for years she dedicated herself to taking up a position in Consecrated Religious Life, even living in a Catholic community house. However, her initiation was cut short when the Church discovered that Eslô had applied for Miss Brazil. In view of this, her team commented on Instagram:
“Her participation in the contest was generating a lot of comments among members of the community and it was this removal that made her even more certain of her faith, Christianity and devotion to God.”
On the other hand, when Slovenia was younger she led a fan club for Brazilian singer Luan Santana. In addition, she collected several posters, albums, photos and accessories of the singer. Consequently, she attended almost all of his shows. As a result, at one of Luan’s shows, Eslô even chased him after leaving the performance. However, she was restrained by security guards.
