How to make a sofa and a small table out of pallets
1. First of all, make sure that the pallets you purchase have undergone a phytosanitary treatment process – this way, they will not bring unwanted microorganisms into your home.
2. Make the base of the sofa with a long pallet or two pallets, one nailed to the other. Place another long pallet (or two joined together) on this first support.

3. With the layers made, join the two with the help of a screwdriver. Worry about creating a solid foundation for your future sofa (already in process!).
4. Use two pallets on the sides of the first structure, already properly screwed, to make the arms of your sofa. With the arms ready, move on to the backrest: to do this, fix the pallets with screws and 90-degree metal angles. This will make the sofa resistant and stable.

5. For a better finish on the sofa, you can attach smooth wood to the bottom of the furniture and its arms. This will give it a more robust look, but you can also opt for a more rustic look.
6. Sand. Sand a lot. Sand again. Invite the whole family to sand with you. As you will sit on this piece of furniture, it is important that there are no loose splinters – no one wants to get hurt unnecessarily, right? Pay special attention to the arms of the sofa, which will always be in contact with hands.

7. After everything is sanded, it’s time to paint: our suggestion is to use Coralit paint (water-based enamel), from Coral, in the color of your preference. If you want to make a sofa in vibrant colors, remember to use a white background before applying the color.
8. With the paint properly dry, place cushions the size of the seat on the sofa (which can be made with old mattresses, cut and covered). Voila!
