Rustic Chicken Pie – Panelaterapia

Rustic Chicken Pie

Sweet cakes and pies

Guys, it’s the easiest pie in the world! And it’s really delicious!!! I loved the result!

I used ready-made dough and a sautéed chicken filling, but it can be whatever filling you want! I’m already thinking about one with banana and cream, huuummmm!!!

Check out the simplicity:

I bought oven-baked pastry dough from Massa Leve. The package comes with 2 discs, meaning there is enough for two pies like this. The dough is lightly flaky and delicious, although it has that bitter aftertaste at the end, you know? Still, it was worth it for its practicality. If you want to make fresh dough to use here, feel free!

I started by preheating the oven to 200º.

I rolled out the dough onto a baking tray greased with butter (I got this beautiful one from Ceraflame), and added the filling, which must be cold.

My filling was according to the “everything in the fridge” scheme. I sautéed 1 cup of cooked and shredded chicken breast with onion and garlic. I added a ball of frozen spinach (frozen spinach comes in balls), fresh peas, corn and to add moisture I added cream cheese. I seasoned it with salt, pepper and I don’t even remember what hahahaha… you got it, right?

I placed the already cold filling in the middle and left a surplus of dough on the sides, I also spread a few cubes of mozzarella and a little parmesan on top. I folded this remainder delicately over the filling. I took it to bake for about 35 minutes (always keep an eye on it because each oven is different). It was just a “rikezah”!
