Ribs with Orange and Honey

Meat

I’ve already given several pork rib recipes here on the blog, because my husband LOVES them and I always make them, but I thought it would be cool to include this one more because the flavor is really good. Those who don’t like it don’t worry, because although it contains honey and orange, it’s not sweet. It’s just slightly bittersweet.

You will need:

  • 1 clean plastic bag;
  • Juice of 1 orange;
  • 1 tablespoon of honey;
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce (shoyu);
  • 1 spoon (coffee) full of salt;
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard;
  • 1 spoon (coffee) of colorific or paprika;
  • Black pepper according to your taste;
  • 1 onion chopped into medium pieces;
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped or crushed;
  • 1 kg of pork ribs in pieces.

Open the plastic bag, put everything inside (in the order of ingredients). Knot the remaining part of the bag (or tie it). Mix everything, massaging the ribs to coat them well in the seasoning. Place the “bag” with the marinade on a baking tray and keep it in the fridge until ready to put it in the pan.

Ideally, it should remain in this seasoning for at least 2 hours before cooking, but this process can be done up to 2 days in advance.

Open the bag and put everything in the pressure cooker (meat and seasonings). As soon as it reaches pressure, reduce the heat (leave it between medium and low) and count 15 minutes. Turn off and let it rest for about 10 minutes or until the pressure releases. Open it and that’s it. Just serve. It has a beautiful color, a delicious flavor and falls off the bone because it’s so soft!

This amount serves 4 people (considering serving with side dishes).
