Radiofrequency on the belly: benefits and how it is done

Beauty

Radiofrequency on the belly is an aesthetic procedure that helps eliminate localized fat and combat sagging, leaving the skin firmer.

This treatment is especially recommended for people who are very close to their ideal weight, to improve the body contour with only localized fat, being an alternative to plastic surgery or can be done to improve the effects after having undergone an abdominoplasty, for example.

Each session lasts about 1 hour and the results are progressive, it is important to practice physical activities and have a light and balanced diet, and after the last session the results can still be seen for 6 months.

Main benefits

The main benefits of radiofrequency on the belly are:

  • Promotes the elimination of localized fat;
  • Combat sagging;
  • Helps improve body contour;
  • Improves the appearance of the skin.

To guarantee the benefits of radiofrequency, it is important that it is carried out by a trained professional and that the person has a healthy, balanced diet and practices physical activity regularly. Check out other benefits of radio frequency.

How radio frequency works

Radiofrequency is a simple procedure, in which the professional initially applies a gel to the belly and then slides the equipment over the region using circular movements. The waves from the equipment reach the fat cells, located beneath the skin and above the muscles, and as the temperature in this region rises to up to 42ºC, these cells rupture, eliminating the fat contained inside.

Fat remains in the interstitial space, between other cells and, therefore, for it to be truly eliminated from the body definitively, it must be removed through lymphatic drainage or through physical exercise.

Fat can remain in the interstitial space for up to 4 hours and therefore, immediately after each treatment session, the person must perform a lymphatic drainage session or practice some physical activity that is capable of burning all excess fat.

How many sessions to do

Depending on the amount of fat and the amount of sagging skin the person has, 7 to 10 radiofrequency sessions on the belly may be recommended.

When not to do

This treatment is not indicated when the person is far above ideal and should also not be carried out when the person has a metal implant in the region where it will be treated. Other contraindications include:

  • During pregnancy;
  • In case of hemophilia;
  • In case of fever;
  • If there is any infection at the treatment site;
  • If there is a sensitivity disorder;
  • If the person has a pacemaker;
  • When a person takes anticoagulant medication.

You should also not apply another electrotherapy device at the same time, to avoid interfering with the results and to avoid burning your skin, you must remove the jewelry from your body.
