Quinto la Huella: delicious Uruguayan restaurant in Brickell, Miami

North America

On my last trip to Miami, I went to Quinto la Huella again, a delicious Uruguayan restaurant in Brickell. It is located inside the EAST hotel, in Brickell City Center, a true luxury complex, with shops, restaurants, cinemas, residences and offices. Therefore, you can have a complete program: stroll around the mall and then have lunch or dinner at La Huella. I had already eaten there when I was a guest in 2019. As I really liked it, I decided to go back. In other words, read this post until the end to see what my second experience was like at the award-winning restaurant in Punta del Leste. Take the opportunity to also see what it’s like to fly in business class on American Airlines and Café Dior in the Design District.

Quinto la Huella – Uruguayan restaurant in Brickell

The restaurant is on the fifth floor of the EAST Miami hotel. This is the first expansion of Parador La Huella in Uruguay. Located in the municipality of Jose Ignacio, it is in 33rd position on the list of the 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America. The elegant Miami house has an area of 900m². There are 359 seats, divided between the hall and the outside. The decor is sophisticated with a chic/casual vibe. The bar is charming, and the tables and chairs have light tones. Meanwhile, the lighting is low, ideal for those who want more privacy when dining. The environments are very pleasant and there is great space between tables.

+My experience at EAST Miami

The methods

The Uruguayan restaurant in Brickell features exclusive fire cooking methods, with a barbecue grill in the center of the kitchen. The wood-burning ovens are fueled with red and white oak. In fact, breakfast is served to guests there, while the restaurant also offers meals by the pool.

The menu

The menu is very varied, with options of raw dishes, including very fresh sushi and sashimi. There is also a good variety of starters, with salads and snacks. However, the flagship is the parilla dishes, both meat and fish. In addition, there are signature drinks and it is worth remembering that brunch has its own menu.

My dinner

I chose to sit outside, as the weather in Miami was very mild. I think the outside of the Uruguayan restaurant on Brickell is extremely romantic. It is full of trees, with beautiful lamps with indirect lighting and candles on the wooden tables. Furthermore, from there we see the sumptuous skyline da Brickell.

External area

Therefore, I started with the traditional and succulent Uruguayan meat empanadas (Salteñas). Then, I hit the spot with the melted provolone cheese, accompanied by artisan bread toast. For starters, I couldn’t resist the crispy breaded steak! As a side dish, I ordered the Brussels sprouts. (In the USA they are very common and delicious). And finally, to sweeten the palate, a genuine Uruguayan dulce de leche soufflé that I still taste today.

Conclusion

With very attentive and efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere, Quinto La Huella is indeed a great option for a Uruguayan restaurant in Miami. Whether for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch.
