Sweet cakes and pies

Ah the June sweets! August is here and I’m still nostalgic! This year “took away” so many things from us, right people? The possibility of having our beloved Festa Junina was one of them, even so we have to remain firm and be grateful for our health every day! So let’s do it at home, because eating is still free!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (tea) sugar
2 cans of condensed milk
3 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of chocolate powder
2 and 1/2 cups of roasted skinless peanuts
1 pinch of salt
Crystal sugar to pass
margarine spread

Place the sugar in a pan over medium heat and let it caramelize. Add the condensed milk, butter and chocolate powder, stirring constantly until it thickens and leaves the bottom of the pan. Add the peanuts and salt and mix well. Turn off the heat, spread it in a refractory lined with greased plastic film and let it rest for 3 hours in the fridge or until firm. Cut into squares, coat in sugar and serve.

Yield: 30 units
