How about a light, healthy and delicious dessert? Papaya bowl made with Greek yogurt and strawberry syrup. Very similar to Papaya Cream with Cassis! This syrup can also be used in cakes, ice cream and other desserts and lasts up to 30 days in the refrigerator.
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of papaya (approximately 1 papaya unit) for the cream and a little more to put at the bottom of the cup.
– 3 units of Serramar Greek Yogurt (or whatever you prefer), total of 300g of Greek yogurt;
– 1 cup (tea) of chopped strawberries;
– 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar;
– 2 tablespoons of water.
Preparation:
For the syrup, bring the strawberries, water and sugar to a boil. Once it boils, lower the heat and let it cook until the strawberries start to break down. Let cool and place in the fridge for 30 minutes before continuing.
Blend the papaya with the yogurt. At the bottom of the bowl, place some chopped papaya and the cream on top. Spread a little of the syrup on top and decorate with mint leaves.
*Yield: The papaya cream makes enough for 4 large bowls, but the amount of syrup is enough for 8 bowls.
