Basically, this hormone is produced by the hypothalamus and released from the neurohypophysis into the bloodstream. According to several studies, oxytocin promotes bonding and other forms of social behavior.
Oxytocin is not only released in love between couples, but in every type of love that exists. For example, the bond between mother and child and great friendships. Therefore, it is the hormone of relationships, which makes a person capable of giving themselves for another, of grouping together, of socializing.
How does oxytocin age the body?

Basically, our body naturally produces oxytocin. Oxytocin is released through neurons and then acts on the central nervous system. It acts strongly on the limbic system, related to emotions. Therefore, everyone has the capacity to release oxytocin, but what varies is each person’s stimulus and response.
How to activate oxytocin?

Above all, it is activated through social interaction or in situations of extreme pleasure and happiness. However, physical contact, hugs, massages, music, reading, sex, orgasm and physical activities encourage the production of the hormone. Much like natural birth, this is actually where the greatest amount of the hormone is released.

Oxytocin in men and women
