Tips

  1. Each individual piece of oven-baked hot dog has around 242 Kcal.
  2. There’s no mistake to know when the dough is baked, just watch when it’s golden.
  3. If you want to make the filling more wet and creamy, the tip is to add cream cheese, which will give the dish a special flavor.
  4. Wait for the sauce to get warm before filling the hot dog, as this prevents the dough from becoming soggy after baking.
  5. Furthermore, this recipe is very versatile, meaning you can vary the fillings. For example, you can replace it with shredded chicken, ground meat sauce, among others.
  6. Another very interesting tip is to cook the sausage for at least 5 minutes, to remove excess coloring. Then, drain and wash under running water.
  7. Finally, you can prepare the sausage gravy in advance as the gravy will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. And use it when preparing oven-baked hot dogs.
