Orange Cookies with White Chocolate

Sweet cakes and pies

Cookies are easy to make, but the chances of going wrong are high hahahaha. I don’t know if it’s the brand of butter used, the proportion of fat or the quality of the yeast, the fact is that I only managed to make good cookies when I understood that they have to be placed VERY far from each other on the baking sheet, otherwise they will spread and stick.

For this recipe, which makes about 25 cookies, the ingredients are:

1/2 cup (tea) butter, softened at room temperature;

1 ovo;

1 cup (tea) of sugar;

1 cup (tea) of wheat flour;

1 spoon (coffee) full of baking powder;

6 drops of vanilla essence;

Zest of the peel of 1 orange, which makes about 1 tablespoon of zest;

1/3 cup (tea) white chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate).

*** The cup used is 200ml

First mix the sugar with the zest. Keep kneading well with the back of a spoon so that the zest releases all its flavor into the sugar.

Then add the other ingredients and mix with a spoon until a homogeneous dough forms. She gets sticky, that’s just how it is. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Grease a baking tray with a little oil and place very small mounds because with the heat they will flatten and the diameter will increase a lot. The quantity for each cookie is more or less 1 heaping spoon (coffee).

Bake in a preheated oven at 200º until the edges start to brown. You can open the oven as many times as you need. The time will depend on each oven, after about 10 minutes you open it and check if it’s good.

Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Using a spatula, carefully remove the cookies that are still soft and let them cool. Once cold, they become crispy.

I thought it was really delicious!!!
