Onion Buns – Panelaterapia

Onion Buns

Snacks

I always drool over wonderful breads that I see on my walks through the culinary blogosphere.

You may have already seen me comment on your blogs that my “problem” in the kitchen is with bread and I usually comment that “I’m not someone who has mastered the art of baking“. My breads are always heavy and tasteless… but I think this time I got it right! They were beautiful, cute, fragrant… I told you it would work one day! Okay, the recipe is one of the easiest, but for now I’m pretty happy!

Let’s get your fingers dirty (makes 12 rolls):

1 ovo;
¼ cup of oil;
1/2 glass of warm milk;
1 teaspoon of sugar;
1 teaspoon of salt;
1 tablet of fresh organic yeast;
1/2 large onion;
Flour until smooth (about 400g).

Blend everything in the blender (minus the flour). Pour the beaten mixture into a deep container and add the flour until it becomes a very uniform dough that is easy to work with (it needs to come off your hands). Roll into balls and place on the baking tray, cover with a cloth and let rest for 30 minutes. They will double in volume. Brush with egg yolk and bake in a moderate oven until golden.
