Natural treatment for Anemia – Your Health

Anemia

A great natural treatment for anemia is to drink fruit juices rich in iron or vitamin C daily, such as oranges, grapes, açaí and genipap because they facilitate the cure of the disease. However, it is also important to consume meat because it has higher concentrations of iron.

Iron deficiency anemia can be caused by a deficiency of iron in the diet or by prolonged blood loss, as can happen in the case of heavy and prolonged menstruation.

See how to prepare some juice suggestions for anemia:

Ingredients:

  • 200 g ready-to-eat açaí pulp
  • 100 ml guarana syrup
  • 100 ml of water
  • 1 small banana
  • 1 spoon of granola

Preparation mode:

Blend the açaí, guaraná and banana in a blender until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Place in a container and drink immediately or keep the ready-made mixture stored in the freezer to consume at another opportunity.

You can find ready-made granola on the market, but you can also make your own mix at home with oats, raisins, sesame, walnuts and flaxseed, for example. See an incredible light granola recipe.

4. Genipapo juice

Ingredients

  • genipapo (3 fruits or frozen pulp)
  • Water to taste

Preparation mode

Blend the genipap in a blender until it reaches 250 ml. You can add water if it is too thick. Sweeten with brown sugar and drink twice a day.

Brown sugar is an excellent alternative to refined sugar, especially when there is a tendency to develop anemia or during pregnancy because it is very rich in iron.

5. Prune juice

Ingredients

  • 15 black plums;
  • 1 liter of water;
  • Brown sugar to taste.

Preparation mode

To prepare this home remedy, add the plums to a container of boiling water and leave them to soak overnight. In the morning, blend the plums in a blender with the water in which they were soaked. The juice must be strained and is ready to drink.

6. Carrot salad with peas

Carrot and pea salad is an excellent way to get rid of anemia due to its iron and vitamin C content.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of peas
  • 1 grated raw carrot
  • 1 lemon

Preparation mode

Open the can of peas and place on a plate, add the carrot and drizzle with lemon. Serve next accompanied by a meat dish.

Peas are a great source of iron, the nutrient that combats discouragement. However, this legume needs a “push” so that the iron is well used by the body. This help can come from carrots, a vegetable rich in carotene.
