Margherita Puff Pie – Panelaterapia

Margherita Puff Pie

Sweet cakes and pies

I recommend this Puff Pie to make for the family because around here I always have it in the fridge at home. Here I find it easily in supermarkets and more than one brand, in fact I buy one that comes in a roll like pastry dough and keep it in the freezer.

When I’m going to use it, I only remove the piece I need and put it back in the freezer because I think it’s practical and you can do so many things!!! In fact, I love it so much and there are a lot of recipes here to prove it!

This one, for example, is a tart I always make (see this post from 2011), very simple!

I take a piece of dough, place it on a baking dish, fold the edges inwards. I add mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, season with salt, black pepper, oregano and olive oil and bake at 180ºC until the dough puffs and turns golden.

While it’s still hot, I decorate some basil leaves on top.

If a last-minute visit arrives, you can do it quickly and without work and mess while chatting takes place.
