I’m always very happy to discover a new hotel, after all, you know that luxury hotel It’s one of my passions, besides my work. Therefore, this time I present to you Maison Delano, the first property of the famous American brand in Europe! With a sublime location, this boutique hotel in the St Honoré region is located in an old family residence from the 18th century, and underwent two years of works, where some of the building’s original features were maintained. Opened in April this year, it is cool, with comfortable rooms and features La Chambre Bleue, a restaurant designed by starred Spanish chef Dani Garcia. Boutique hotel in the St Honoré region
Maison Delano is in a sublime location, in the sophisticated Rue St Honoré, on the 8th arrondissement, surrounded by excellent restaurants, cafes and close to Place de la Concorde. Therefore, you can walk to the Champs-Élysées and Galeries Lafayette, for example. The 18th century mansion, built at the request of Augustin Blondel de Gagny, was the scene of several parties given by Louis XV.
O lobby do new boutique hotel in Paris It is small and discreet, and the interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán was responsible for the decoration of the hotel, where we can also find works of contemporary art by names such as, for example, George Terzian and Damien Hurst. As soon as we enter, we can see the central courtyard of the luxury hotel in Paris, and also where the restaurant is located.
The accommodations
There are 56 comfortable and clean rooms and 2 suites measuring 100m2. I stayed in the Deluxe, 30 m2, which served me very well. With elegant decor, white walls and wooden floors, my room had a comfortable king size bed, a desk with a Nespresso coffee machine, a minibar and two armchairs.
The bathroom, all in black and white, had MALIN + GOETZ amenities, bathrobes and a good shower.
In addition, I also took the opportunity to take a look at other rooms and suites, all of which are very tasteful, spacious and with modern decor but without losing the classic features of the property.
The gastronomy
In the heart of five star hotel in Paris, in the beautiful central courtyard, is the restaurant La Chambre Bleue, by starred Spanish chef Dani García. Dani, in fact, was inspired by Pablo Picasso’s painting of the same name, as both artists came from Malaga, and brought their creative vision to Paris. Therefore, the menu features Mediterranean dishes, with Andalusian references, such as seafood and rice. The environment is also worth highlighting, with a spacious and elegant interior hall, with an open kitchen, and two wine cellars. Those who prefer can also sit at the tables in the outdoor patio, which is very pleasant and can be covered if the temperatures are low.
Furthermore, it is also where the delicious breakfast is served, with an à la carte menu.
Oh bar
The charming Delano Bar is inviting for a nightcap, as it is open until 2 am. The environment combines classic and modern, just like the other areas of the hotel in Paris, with shades of red and a beautiful counter, complete with high stools.
Maison Delano in Paris also has a 24-hour gym, and massages can be booked in the rooms. Furthermore, the service at the new boutique hotel in the St Honoré region is very kind and attentive, and the concierge also gave me great tips. In other words, another great option for accommodation in Paris!
