During my trip in Marrakech, I was invited to lunch at one of the most sophisticated hotels in Marrakech. Pure luxury and elegance since 2010, the Royal Mansour does not have rooms and suites, but only riads, the Moroccan houses. Designed by King Mohammed VI, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and has that typical Moroccan decoration, full of colors, ornate tiles and sumptuous columns and doors! The gastronomy is also fantastic, with four restaurants and three bars. My lunch at Royal Mansour was Les Jardin, led by starred chef Yannick Allenó. I was delighted! So, keep reading this post to find out all the details! Take the opportunity to also read: PURE: luxury tourism event in Marrakech!

Five-star hotel in Marrakech
Very well located, the Royal Mansour is just a five-minute drive from the bustling square Djeema El-Fnaa. But when we pass through its walled gardens we don’t even realize we are so close to the action. Certainly a luxury getaway in Marrakech! In addition, geometric mosaics, carved cedar wood, and bronze and silver furniture set the scene at Royal Mansour.

In total, there are 53 private riads, with two or three floors, which accommodate up to four people. In other words, if you want privacy, you’re in the right place. There are underground tunnels where employees walk, so you won’t bump into (almost) anyone! In addition, the marble-clad rooms feature silk carpets, embroidered curtains and Baccarat chandeliers.

The SPA is certainly one of the most beautiful and impressive I’ve ever seen. A true sanctuary! There are 2,500 square meters divided into three floors, with a multitude of treatments, as well as a hammam, gym and beauty salon.

In addition, there is also the pool area, which is super large, and surrounded by beautiful gardens, designed by Spanish landscaper Luis Vallejo, including a herb garden and an organic vegetable orchard.

Lunch at Royal Mansour
Among the hotel’s courtyards and gardens are restaurants, led by two starred chefs: Yannick Alléno, at the Moroccan La Grande Table Marocaine and Le Jardin, and Massimiliano Alajmo for the Italian Sesamo.

Le Jardin, where I had lunch, is outdoors, in a beautiful courtyard. Indeed, an elegant but relaxed atmosphere. On the menu, the chef offers Asian-influenced and contemporary cuisine, with fresh and tasty dishes. Tapas, ceviches and grilled proteins are some of the options. I ate a lobster that was divine! Finally, I finished with a heavenly dessert, choux pastry with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
