Lunch at Mandarin Oriental in Paris

As happens in the main metropolises of the world, some of the best restaurants in Paris are in hotels. And a five-star hotel like Mandarin Oriental, I couldn’t escape the rule. I already had the chance to stay there and it was an incredible experience. This time I went back to the hotel and had lunch at the Mandarin Oriental in Paris which was one of the best meals of my stay.

With a perfect location, in the chicérrima Rue Saint Honoré, the hotel has 138 rooms, 39 of which are suites, a bar and two restaurants, Sur Mesure and Camélia. It was the first time I had my lunch, the Custom Made By Thierry Marx.

The decoration

The restaurant has a clean and modern environment, elegant in just the right way. Thierry Marx is one of the most famous chefs in France and has already passed through renowned houses such as Dean, Taillevent e Robuchon, and carry it in your suitcase two Michelin stars, on behalf of the restaurant.

His cuisine is creative and full of textures and flavors, inspired by France and his travels through Asia. I started my lunch with a transparent ravioli with eggplant and mango concassé, which, like the following dishes, came with a beautiful presentation.

I made my debut with oyster risotto, which was light and had an incredible flavor! Another interesting dish was the mackerel and squid with arugula and cucumber pickle.

Dessert time was practically a gastronomic orgy, there was something for all tastes! And of course, lunch was properly harmonized under the command of the excellent sommelier.

Lunch at Custom made it is much more than a meal; it is an unforgettable experience. It’s worth taking your time and spending as much time there as necessary, without thinking about upcoming commitments.

Paris by Marx

It is worth remembering that this June, the hotel launched the program Paris by Marx. Anyone who stays at MOPAR gets dinner for two at Custom e VIP service at the chef’s preferred addresses in Parislook how chic.

A tour of the hotel to get to know it is also essential! Even the bathroom is a must, all red with a wall that resembles scales. Chic and original!

O Mandarin Oriental Paris is recognized for its haute cuisineby the SPA, which has 900 m² and is one of the largest in Paris, for the impeccable service and of course, for its always elegant facilities. In the suites on the higher floors, you can have a beautiful view of the city from super pleasant terraces.

Definitely a scandal hotel! A lunch at Mandarin Oriental in Paris is always memorable!
