Comfortable and sophisticated, the Loews Regency has a privileged location in New York. A few steps from Central Parkfully Park Avwith 61st St, the hotel It was opened in 1963, but is brand new after a $100 million renovation.
There are 379 rooms, 58 of which are spectacular suites, with space to even receive guests or hold small meetings. But anyone who thinks the rooms are cramped is wrong. Of course they vary depending on the category. I stayed in Luxury King, measuring 28 m2 and the room completely won me over: great size, complete with an armchair, desk, plasma TV, fast internet connection, as well as electronic blinds, which do not let in any light at all. The view was 61st, occupancy for up to three people and a crib available if requested in advance.
There are also larger rooms, with two double beds and Grand Studio King, with 40 m2, among others. The bathroom, all in marble, even has a plasma TV and amenitites from the luxury brand Julien Farel – the same as the hotel’s spa, Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa, considered one of the best in the city.
With a separate entrance on 61st St, it is located next to the gym and beauty salon. I was there for a massage and I loved it! It is the ideal place for those who want to have an afternoon of little woman em NY. The salon opens daily and the brand’s products are excellent. One of the most famous hairdressers in NY, Julien Farel also has salons in Miami and Los Cabos and is known for having celebrities on his client list.
O hotel There is also a restaurant, The Regency Bar & Grill, serving contemporary American cuisine, always busy and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a beautiful bar and varied menu, it is a place for meetings for two and/or friends, as well as business lunches or dinners.
If you want a quicker and more affordable breakfast, you can go to Saint Ambroeus, like I did, and choose between sandwiches, rolls or perhaps even one of the delicious sweets. This bakery/sweet shop is well known in NY and has other addresses. It’s even on our list of where to have breakfast in NY.
Considered one of the best hotels in NY by the magazine Conde Nast Traveler‘if winner of Luxury Travel Guide do Global Awards 2015, o Loews Regency has a great team. I found everyone to be efficient, from the receptionists to the doormen and especially the concierges, who know the city like no one else and always have relevant tips on the tip of their tongue and a lot of patience for the thousands of questions from guests.
With more than one metro station nearby, the hotel is in a discreet but walking distance from the Museum of Modern Art, Bloomingdales and for those who like walking, even Times Square.
Hotel Ideal for leisure travelers, it also welcomes business travelers. O business center It is open 24 hours a day and there are meeting rooms available if necessary. O Loews It also offers guests a Mercedes S550 – which runs up to 20 blocks from the hotel – and daily laundry service from 7 am to 10 pm.
For those traveling with children, there are babysitter and specific attractions and programs you can read details about on the hotel’s website. And for those who have dogs and the like, it’s good to know that the hotel is pet friendly.
60-year-old American brand with properties in Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, among others, the Loews never disappoints and takes care of the guest that makes the difference. In new York it couldn’t have been any different; totally approved!
