Lemon Gelatin Cake

Sweet cakes and pies

This cake is well known and I think it’s delicious! The only difference from the traditional one is that I added a few drops of green food coloring to the icing. How easy is this Hulk cake:

Ingredients (use a 200 ml measuring cup):

  • 1 glass of natural yogurt
  • 2/3 cup (American) of oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 lemon flavor gelatin (without dissolving)
  • 1 and 1/2 cup sugar

Blend all the above ingredients in a blender and then add to another container:

  • 3 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Mix everything and bake in a greased and floured pan for about 45 minutes. Remembering that the time can vary greatly depending on the brand of your oven. Test by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is baked. But be careful: only open the oven for the test after 30 minutes so the cake doesn’t deflate.

Roof:

  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • Juice of 2 lemons or 3 tahiti lemons
  • Drops of green food coloring (optional)

Mix everything and place on the cake. Garnish with lemon zest.

* The cake dough turns very green after baking due to the gelatin. I didn’t take a photo of the inside of the cake because I gave it as a gift.
