For those who haven’t had the opportunity to see it yet, Giovanna is playing the villain Athena, in “The Rules of the Game”, and to compose her character, she adopted geometric nail art, which already promises to become a hit, so we decided to show it here step by step so you can do it yourself!
That’s right, you can do it yourself, imitate Athena’s nails, whose technique is called Negative Space.

Material:
- Matte black nail polish (Examples: Black, from Colorama, and Black Sépia from Risqué);
- Nude nail polish (examples: Renda e Vidrilhos, from Risqué; or Playa Del Platinum, Essie);
- Cotton;
- Toothpick;
- Nail polish remover;
- Scotch tape.

1. First, file your nails into a square shape, apply a thin layer of nude nail polish and wait for it to dry.
2. Cut pieces of adhesive tape and before applying each one, stick it a few times on the back of your hand so that all excess glue comes off.
3. Apply a piece to the bottom of the middle finger nail, leaving its tip free, diagonally, like an inverted V, on the left and right side.
4. Apply a layer of matte black nail polish to the area without tape – if you don’t find the product with an opaque effect, use a matte coating -, forming a design in the shape of a flag.
5. Repeat the process on all nails, but applying the tape so that only the corner is marked.
