I went to have lunch at Le Zoo, the new restaurant in Bal Harbour, luxury mall in Miami and I loved it! Opposite the trendy Carpaccio – which is always crowded – Le Zoo is a brasserie French, very Parisian style. With a relaxed and cozy decor at the same time, the restaurant, with capacity for 200 people, has a large balcony – ideal for mild weather days – and inside, an open kitchen and large windows, which in addition to providing good lighting for the environment. , they give the impression of being even bigger.

On the menu, dishes worthy of brasserie, such as varied salads, steak tartare, steaks, fish, onion soup, pasta, seafood plateau, etc. How I love steak tartare, I had to ask for one as a starter and it was approved. My husband had the foie gras, which was also great!

Afterwards, I asked fried mussels (mussels with fries) and he had steak and fries. Luckily for us, the potatoes were dry and crunchy. We ordered a Provence rosé wine to accompany and ended the meal with a delicious profiteroles.
O Brunch
The restaurant also has a wide list of wines and champagnes and classic cocktails and on weekends it offers brunches, with famous eggs benedict – a good reason to come back, in fact, in addition to the crab that looked great on the neighboring table. The owner of Le Zoo, the new Bal Harbor restaurant, businessman Stephan Starr, he sought inspiration from his other restaurants: Parc in Philadelphia and Le Diplomate in Washington. Its trademarks are good quality food and attentive service and that’s exactly what I felt when I had lunch there.

Remembering that Bal Harbor is the best luxury mall in Miami and has international brands such as Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Bulgari, among others, as well as the excellent department stores Saks and Neiman Marcus. Even if the idea is not to go shopping, as it is an open mall and not very big, it is very pleasant to walk around. And now we have yet another reason to go there: to get a taste of being in Paris in the heart of the south of Florida.
