La Serena: new Italian restaurant at JK Iguatemi

In terms of gastronomy, we know that São Paulo puts on a show! And the city is always renewing itself. On my last trip to the capital, I took the opportunity to visit La Serena, which offers Southern Italian cuisine. The new Italian restaurant at JK Iguatemi has an elegant and timeless decor, with beautiful environments, two rooms, an open kitchen, lots of light and two bars. We even forget that we are inside a shopping mall. I had an impeccable lunch and you can see all the details below!

New Italian restaurant at JK Iguatemi

Divided into a bar and main lounge, La Serena’s environments are inspired by the Amalfi Coast, and the entire Mediterranean spirit of the Italian Riviera. Therefore, at the entrance is the beautiful round bar, where classic and signature drinks serve. The sophisticated lounge is spacious and bright, with plants and an extensive kitchen open to the public.

The menu features creative and refreshing dishes, as well as a crudo bar with several fresh options, such as Oysters from Florianópolis, which started our lunch very well! We also ordered the Octopus Carpaccio (R$84), with very thin slices.

As a good seafood lover, my main bet was on the Fettuccine Nero and Carabinero Shrimp (R$260), with bisque sauce, shrimp tartare and red shrimp. In fact, it was an excellent choice. A Malloreddus (R$94), a typical Sardinian pasta reminiscent of gnocchi, with octopus ragu and pancetta was also consistent and tasty.

Finally, for dessert, the Chocolate cake (R$36), 70% chocolate, pistachio farofa and vanilla gelato, in fact, won me over. In addition, to accompany it, a varied wine list with great labels!
