On 50th St., heart of Midtownit is located on the street of one of the most important department stores in new YorkSaks, from the emblematic Radio City Music Hall , walking distance and Broadway, of important tourist attractions, such as the Rockfeller Center, in addition to being close to several shopping centers, such as Fifth Avenue.
The hotel is also a few streets away from MOMA, Museum of Modern Art, of the Carnegie Hall It’s from Lincoln Center and the main entertainment point in the world: the Times Square. This means that when you go to the theater, you can walk calmly, instead of having to worry about taking a taxi at the most difficult time of the day. NY.
Opened in the 80s, the Kimberly, decorated in a European rococo style, it is from a time when there were few boutique hotels in NY, Therefore, it was in this category, even though it has almost 200 rooms – a high number for a hotel of this type nowadays.
Its greatest asset is the size of the rooms: very spacious, with two rooms and an equipped kitchen, with a mini fridge, washing machine, microwave, etc., as well as crockery available in the cupboards. All rooms were renovated in 2012.
Another advantage for athletic guests is the partnership with New York Health & Racquet Club, nearby, and which also entitles you to a three-hour boat trip on the Hudson River (during the summer and part of the fall and spring) for just US$25.
Rooms on high floors provide breathtaking views of Manhattanin addition to its famous rooftopalso recently renovated and a must of the hotel. During happy hour and at night, it turns into a party with loud music and lots of young people looking for fun. O Kimberly it may not be a luxurious hotel but it is undoubtedly very comfortable and with an excellent location in Big Apple.
