Iced Panettone Pie

The other day I was looking at that incredible 1kg Panettone from Bauducco and I thought it could become a great dessert for Christmas. And that’s how I invented this cold pie. I was surprised by the result! So simple to make and so delicious! Nothing more than Panettone, layers of cream ice cream and dulce de leche. It can’t be bad, right?

I used an 18cm mold with a removable rim that perfectly accommodated the Panettone slices, which I cut horizontally. Then the assembly just involves making the following layers:

– Start with a slice of about 2 fingers of Panettonne Bauducco;
– Cream or vanilla ice cream;
– Pasty dulce de leche;
– Panettone Bauducco;
– And to finish, another layer of cream or vanilla ice cream;

Now just leave it in the freezer or freezer for at least 24 hours. Then just decorate and serve (of course, you can only take it out of the freezer when serving). To see the assembly in detail and also the pie inside, just watch the video:
