How to make a round cake?

A lot of people ask me how to make the cake look round. What gives it its shape is the way you place it in the hot oil.

If the dough is firmer, you can use more flour. So, using two spoons, push a little bit into the oil, which ends up being very round.

If the dough is softer, on the other hand, when you “drip” it into the oil, it will form some “strings” that will stick to the spoon and it will be somewhat shapeless.

Mine are in the middle. Since I don’t like adding a lot of flour, I like it softer, so there are little “legs”, which I particularly like, I think it’s fun to find animal shapes.

But, enough talk and let’s learn the recipe:

  • 1 ovo;
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of milk;
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar;
  • 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of wheat flour;
  • 1 teaspoon of chemical baking powder (common cake yeast).

Just mix everything until it forms a dough and, using 2 spoons, drip it into the hot oil.
