How to go to the pool on your period

Use a tampon

A tampon is by far one of the most effective ways to go to the pool on your period.

After all, no one will notice anything and you won’t feel any discomfort.

External absorbents are not highly recommended, as they may end up holding the flow poorly.

These pads end up swelling and absorbing the flow too much, becoming too bulky.

Furthermore, after leaving the pool, it is possible that the external absorbent may end up leaking a little onto your legs.

Take more than one tampon in case you need to change it and, if you wish, cut a little of the tampon thread to disguise it even more.

Shorts over bikini

Layer shorts over your bikini or swimsuit bottoms.

There are several tight-fitting models that even resemble a swimsuit.

This way, if any leaks happen through the bikini, the shorts will prevent anything from showing!

You will feel more comfortable and at ease, so shorts are very welcome!

To feel even better, choose shorts that flatter your body and are not too baggy, and opt for dark-colored shorts, we’ll talk more about this in the topic below.

Dark colored swimwear

If you are already using a tampon or cup, it is very unlikely that any leaks will occur.

However, this tip can be useful if you want to feel even more confident and calm while in the pool.

Give preference to pieces in dark colors, such as navy blue, black or wine.

This makes it even harder to realize that you are on those days.
