Homemade coconut soap for washing white clothes

Homemade coconut soap is light and neutral, suitable for washing light and delicate fabrics.

It helps with the care of items in addition to efficiently removing stains from light-colored clothing.

After all, delicate fabrics need specific care when washing.

Ingredients:

  • Half a kilo of caustic soda (be very careful when handling this product. In contact with water, it is highly corrosive. Wear protective gloves and glasses);
  • 2 liters of cooking oil (it can be used oil, as long as it is clean and sieved);
  • Zest of two coconuts;
  • 750ml of water;
  • 130ml of ethyl alcohol.

Preparation Mode:

In a blender, add the grated coconut and water, blend until it forms a homogeneous paste.

Place this paste in a pan and let it cook until you notice a reduction in the amount of cream.

It will be fuller.

In another pan, heat the oil and add the coconut paste, stirring until mixed.

Turn off the heat and add the caustic soda, stirring constantly until it dissolves (Be very careful when handling these products, mainly because the oil is still hot and the soda is corrosive).

When it dissolves and starts to thicken, add the alcohol and keep stirring for another 30 minutes.

This mixture will form a pasty cream that will need to be set aside.

And, after at least 24 hours, you can then cut this soap into small bars.

The longer it waits, the more consistent and solid the soap will be.

Boil some bars with water and place the stained clothes inside, leaving to rest for 50 minutes.

Then just rinse!
