How to fold fitted sheets in 6 simple steps

It seems impossible, but there is a simple technique for folding fitted sheets in a dignified, organized way and without breaking out!

Anyone who has never had a tantrum when folding a fitted sheet doesn’t know what an adult life crisis is. Although this style of bedding is excellent in use, as it doesn’t come off the sides of the mattress in the middle of the night, the truth is that it can be a pain to keep it organized in the closet.

But don’t worry, there’s a way for everything in this life and with the fitted sheet it’s no different. As you will see, there is a technique (yes, a technique) to make elastic bed linen folded, behaved, and organized like any other traditional style.

The good news, as you will see, is that the correct way to fold a fitted sheet is quite simple. All you need to do is a little concentration (only at the beginning too) and practice. In fact, we would venture to say that the “technique” is actually quite simple and intuitive.

Learn how to fold the fearsome fitted sheet:

1. Open the fitted sheet on the wrong side. To do this, place your hands inside the opposite ends of the sheet, preferably leaving the longer side of the sheet between your arms.

2. Now, bring the end of the fitted sheet that was in your right hand over the left end. This will make the seams fit together, keeping the ends together.

3. The third step is to place your right hand where your left hand was and slide the sheet, fitting this left part inside the two other ends.

4. Bring the two corners that are on your right hand over your left hand. Now you will have all the ends with elastics fitted into the same corner of the sheet.

5. Once done, just place the folded elastic sheet on a flat surface and stretch it. Then just fold the two edges inwards to hide all the elastic.

6. Fold the sheet into a rectangle of the size you want.

7. Finally, your sheet will be properly folded as if it didn’t have elastic.
