A gradient eye makeup It’s a more than powerful way to highlight your look – especially at weekend parties.
The gradient is nothing more than a smoky eye, the famous smokey eye, created with at least three different shades of eyeshadow.
The objective of the procedure is not to leave the tones marked, but rather, to make the color transition something very natural.

1 – Items you need
Before you start putting on makeup, it’s important to select some essential items to create gradient eye makeup.
The items needed will be:
- Flat brush to apply each shadow, prefer the beveled model;
- Brush with soft, oval bristles, to blend tones;
- Shadows of the same color, with up to four different shades or two/three shadows of different colors;
- Concealer and foundation in the closest tones to your skin;
- Eyeliner, black eyeliner and mascara.

2 – Choose the desired eyeshadow colors
The initial step in doing your gradient eye makeup is choosing which colors to use.
You can choose up to four different shades, varying from the same color, to blend your eyes well and make them look wonderful.
Try to test the movement of the brush on your eyes before starting to apply the shadows, as it takes a little practice to perfect the technique.
The ideal movements for the brush are those that “come and go”, or in small strokes of “small balls” – to combine the tones well.

3 – Apply the lightest tone first
Select the lightest shade of the ones you chose, start by applying it to the inner corner of your eyes.
Follow it to the central point of the mobile eyelid.
Try to prepare your eyes with a primer or foundation, so that no matter how light the shadow is, it can show up well.
Now start blending the color, so that it remains subtle and not marked.

4 – Start blending
With the small, flat brush, apply the darkest shadow to the outer corner of the eyelids – making gentle circular movements towards the inner corners of the eyes.
Blend this same shadow into the crease, but only up to the mid-eye area.

5 – Time to apply the medium tone
Choose the medium tone from your eyeshadow palette and apply it to the central area of your eyelids – blending towards the darkest shade.
Blend this same medium-colored eyeshadow into the crease, with those horizontal movements that come and go.
Spread the shadow over that darker shadow, using circular movements, so that everything blends well.

6 – Brighten the look
Select the lightest shade from your palette in the inner corner of your eye.
Silver, champagne or nude tones are excellent suggestions for creating that point of light in your gradient eye makeup.
Blend the darker shadow with the angled brush at the root of the eyelashes and, with the medium tone, blend over the shadow – towards the outer corner.

7 – Highlight the gradient with an eyeliner
Highlight your gradient eye makeup with a relatively thick line, made with eyeliner.
The line should be glued to the upper lashes.
Then, apply a black pencil to the area known as the waterline of the eyes, followed by mascara on each of the eyelashes.
