Not everyone knows, but even the appliances that help you keep clean need to be cleaned sometimes. This obviously includes your washing machine, you know?
To be more exact, dirt and bacteria experts recommend that washing machines be cleaned at least twice a year. This is necessary not only so that your items come out of the wash really clean, but so that the inside of your machine is less conducive to the proliferation of microorganisms that are harmful to our health.
But, if no one knows that this process is necessary, how do you know the right way to clean the washing machine? What products should you use to keep it sterilized, without damaging the material that covers it or the colors of your clothes?
As we show here, at Women’s Area, there is a simple and practical way to clean the washing machine using powdered juice, lemon flavor. Remember? But the thing is, this type of cleaning is very superficial and does not replace heavy cleaning.
The right way to do this is using a mixture of hot water, 1 liter of bleach, 1 liter of white vinegar and 1 soft cloth or sponge. But don’t worry, don’t mix everything together as the process doesn’t happen like this, as you will see below.
How to clean the washing machine:
1. Fill the machine with hot water and bleach. If you don’t have hot running water, fill half of the machine with normal temperature water and fill the rest with boiling water;
2. Activate the complete wash cycle and let the water agitate for 1 minute. Then, turn off the machine and let the mixture rest there for an hour;
3. After this time, activate the long cycle and wait until the end of the wash;
4. At the end of the cycle, wait for the water to drain and fill the machine with hot water again, but this time it is the vinegar that must be mixed and the whole process repeated once again.
5. When it’s time to “rest the mixture”, dip the cloth or sponge in water with vinegar and clean all corners of the machine that are dirty, inside and out;
6. If the washing machine’s powder detergent dispenser is removable, heat a cup of white vinegar and pour it into the item. After a few minutes, with the vinegar now cold, rinse and wipe with a cloth.
7. To finish, activate the long cycle and wait until the end of the wash. Dry the machine inside or leave it open to dry.
