It was completely renovated in 2002 when it celebrated its 75th anniversary. As soon as we arrived, we noticed its grandeur in its classic environments. There are several works of art spread throughout the property that add a historical touch to the spaces. Of rooftop, where events are organized, we have a sensational view of the city. Surrounding the hotel are art galleries and designer stores. Right in front, the Public Garden, one of the oldest parks in the country, founded in the 17th century. When I was there, the flowers were amazing and it was where I took the most beautiful photos of Boston.
Newbury Street is a charming street, with more exclusive shops and typical New England architecture. Very charming and lively, it has low red brick buildings, surrounded by plants and flowers. A charm! It makes you want to do a little shopping, sit down to have a coffee or a drink and let the hour pass without noticing. In other words, you now know where to stay in Boston.

Walking a little further, we reach the historic neighborhoods of Boston, with their narrow and charming streets, like Beacon Hill, with one house cuter than the other.
Boylston Street, next door, is where the luxury Prudential Center complex is located. As soon as we arrive we realize that we are in a classic hotel! A marble staircase, with beautiful elaborate iron handrails that had golden brass at the tip, giving a sophisticated look. The rooms feature antique furniture, crystal chandeliers and Louis XV style tables covered in gold with beautiful flower arrangements.
On the lobby floor, in addition to the reception, of course, are the Tiffany jewelry store, the Taj Boston restaurant and bar. In other words, if what you want is accommodation with elegance and sophistication, you already know where to stay in Boston.
The rooms
There are 273 rooms, 44 of which are suites, with elegant and cozy environments. And when you have the right to a view, your stay gets even better. A mix of nature and a cosmopolitan university city.
With light tones of beige and yellow, the rooms have a plasma TV, armchair and desk. The bathroom is all marble, has a shower and toilet and good beauty products. In the closet, bathrobes and slippers – I can’t live without them, lol.
The Cafe & The Bar
The elegant restaurant, with large windows that let in street light and was even frequented by Elizabeth Taylor, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and is always full! I remember with fondness the delicious Egg Benedicts with lobster that I ate! On Sundays, the famous brunch. The menu features a variety of contemporary American and Indian cuisine.
At the bar, a variety of cocktails and views of people passing by on Arlington St, as well as a place reserved for cigar lovers.
In the afternoon, traditional tea is served, in an old-fashioned style, in the French Room, a third room, full of class.
Pet Friendly
As is often the case in the USA, the Taj Boston is pet friendly and is equipped with various equipment for dogs.
Boston Park Plaza – the sister hotel
Close to the Taj Boston, there is the Boston Park Plaza, which belongs to the same group. It is more modern and very luxurious. Despite being 90 years old, it has been completely renovated and is beautiful! Already in the lobby we felt the relaxed and elegant atmosphere of the hotel, and also of the Off the Common restaurant, a reference to Boston’s main park.
On the menu, good wines, excellent drinks and a variety of seafood. Good choices are the Jumbo Shrimp, shrimp cocktail, the Maine Lobster, lobster and Crab Claws, crab legs. The hotel is worth both to stay there – of course – and to stop by the bar for a drink, lunch or dinner. I loved it!
