Have you ever heard of homemade hydration with sugar?
Well, the most common ingredient in the kitchen can be an ally to make your hair shinier, softer, frizz-free, and less porous.
Also, sugar helps seal the hair cuticles and eliminate split ends.
All this? Yes, because sugar has properties such as vitamins B1, B2, C, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and phosphorus that help keep your hair hydrated.
But it’s worth remembering that the more refined the sugar is, the more chemical processes it goes through, losing all these properties. So the ideal sugar for hydration is crystallized, demerara, or brown sugar.
